Reopening of Travel & Hospitality

DAVA reported on 30th August 2021 that they have assisted in the development of an app that will allow the Slovenian Border Police and hospitality firms to check the authenticity of the EU Digital COVID Certificate when they arrive in Slovenia or visit a restaurant or hotel there. Moreover, the Government and National Health Institute of Slovenia chose Endava as a significant partner in the project after a formal bidding procedure.

National authorities around the EU are offering a Digital COVID Certificate to their communities in light of current pandemic developments. However, the certificate creates a QR code that may be printed or exhibited on a mobile phone to confirm that a person has been vaccinated, has a COVID-19 test result that is negative, or has recently recovered from COVID-19. Lastly, the Endava app validates the certificate to ensure that persons traveling to Slovenia and visiting hospitality establishments do not spread or become infected with the virus.

Business Services Company of the Year

On 27th May 2021, DAVA announced that it received three awards at the Romanian Business Services Forum & Awards Gala in 2021. The awards were for Business Services Company of the Year, Employer of the Year, and eventually for its recently introduced Wellbeing group-wide program. Endava continues to be the employer of choice in core markets, as evidenced by these recognitions. Like many other businesses, it had to change its operating model and adapt to new working patterns and environments during the hard year of 2020, which was marked by the pandemic.

All of the staff moved to entirely work from home in March 2020 in a matter of days. However, they extensively examined the impact of this move on production and discovered that it remained consistent, with a 5% increase on average while working from home. While some clients in the most impacted industries were forced to halt their projects at first, Endava quickly found itself inundated with requests for digital initiatives to assist them in navigating the new obstacles.
