20 Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) Channels

On 18th October 2021, SGAM announced that in the next weeks, Redbox, a major entertainment business, will launch more than 20 additional Free Ad Supported Free Live TV (FAST) channels. The channels will be on its free streaming service, including live local news, children’s programming, and Spanish language content. The new channels include America’s Funniest Home Videos, three Spanish-language Sony Canal channels, Electric Now, and the Wu-Tang Collection.

This is the newest, online streaming channel that Redbox has ever added. There is much more programming for everyone to enjoy, ranging from local news to some of the finest children’s shows. The company is looking forward to seeing these channels go online as soon as possible.

Factual Entertainment Media Company Curiosity on Multi-Faceted Agreement

SGAM reported that Curiosity Inc has started a collaboration with Redbox to provide customers with new entertainment alternatives. Curiosity’s subscription video-on-demand service (SVOD), Curiosity Stream, will be promoted as part of the deal. When Redbox introduces SVOD Channels in its streaming app in 2022, the businesses have also agreed to provide Curiosity Stream as a premium subscription service.

The Curiosity Stream SVOD service will be advertised on Redbox’s 40,000 kiosks and digital streaming assets as part of the arrangement. Redbox will also license Curiosity content, which will be available in the coming months on Redbox’s AVOD and FAST streaming platforms. Lastly, Curiosity is perfectly positioned as the premier factual entertainment provider to give inexpensive, high-value entertainment to Redbox consumers who want to learn more about the world around them.

Multiyear Distribution Deal

On 14th October 2021, SGAM announced a multi-year distribution arrangement. According to this agreement, Lionsgate would oversee Redbox Entertainment title distribution across home entertainment windows, as well as subscription video on demand (SVOD) licensing for certain Redbox Entertainment films. Redbox Entertainment is in a unique position to find titles and talent that will appeal to customers. Redbox’s fast-growing ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) and Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) services are also partnering on an agreement to license films and television series. In the last year, Redbox has rapidly expanded its AVOD streaming service to include thousands of popular films and television programs, as well as more than 100 FAST Channels available on its streaming app, with plans to add more in the months ahead.
