Rapid Expansion of Pokemoto
GRIL reported on 15th September 2021 that it acquired Pokemoto a few months back and now it has launched four additional stores, as well as two coffee shops, on the campuses of Northern Virginia Community College. Moreover, the NightHawk Cafés will serve a variety of grab-and-go menu items, as well as coffee, breakfast, a quick snack, and dine-in alternatives like poke bowls, burritos, and salads. The four new Pokemoto NOVA stores in Alexandria, Loudoun, Manassas, and Woodbridge will continue GRIL’s non-traditional growth strategy and key demographic of Millennial and Gen-Z crowds while expanding the Pokemoto brand’s entire presence by 29%.
For protection, productivity, and simplicity, each of the four-campus sites will include contactless self-ordering kiosks and app-based online ordering via ‘Snackpass.’ Any credit card, including the College’s NOVACard, is accepted at all sites. Lastly, guests may also sign up for ‘Pokemoto Text Rewards’ to receive discounts, deals, and information on new Pokemoto menu items, in keeping with digital trends.
GRIL acquires Pokemoto
GRIL announced the launch of a new Bubble Tea program on 2 September 2021. This is done to complement the existing beverage offering. Bubble tea addresses a void in the beverage menu while making use of current customers ’ preferences. As per Allied Market Research, the $2 billion-plus Bubble tea sector is expected to reach over $4 billion in sales by 2027. Moreover, customers will be able to purchase Pokemoto’s new Bubble tea, commonly known as Boba tea, at participating shops. Bubble tea is a refreshing drink that may be enjoyed at any time of the day.
The Bubble Tea program consists of freshly brewed black or green teas that may be purchased alone or blended with additional ingredients to create a variety of chilled milk tea and fruit tea combinations. Furthermore, Pokemoto also provides three toppings – tapioca, pop Boba, and fruit jelly – in a variety of flavors to give the Millennial and Gen-Z beverages a distinct texture and flavor. The beverages are freshly produced, hand-shaken, and then sealed with a professional sealer. Last but not least, Pokemoto’s Bubble Tea will also debut in virtual kitchens as a stand-alone unique idea or as a complement, in accordance with the company’s non-traditional growth ambitions.
